charge whatever your square mtr rate is for regular countour cut, laminated digital print, plus £5-10 per mtr for your time cutting them up if they don’t want them on a 1500wide sheet!

Not sure if minaki or the rip your using has a perforation feature but when I make stickers I lay them out on a sheet approx a4 or a3 then add a perf line around the outside edge. Versaworks reads this and perfs them which allows them to easily be separated into sheets. Doesn’t mean you can’t charge more for this than supplied on a roll. Just gives a neater product with less manual cutting 🙂

What machine have you got, David?

Hi George, I’m running 3 Roland’s. An EJ640 printer, a Gr640 cutter, and a SP540 print & cut machine. We print the majority of our stickers on the SP540 as some smart arse in Roland decided it would be a good idea to put a blade holder with 2 positions on the GR. This is a great idea if you want to just perf a material or cut straight through it as there’s a channel for the blade to go into rather than cutting into the cutting strip. The problem with this is if you want to say put a cut line round multiple stickers on an a4 sized sheet the perf round the outside edge you have to keep changing the blade position after each action! No way to over ride this so really disappointed with this feature 🙁

As a quick guide, we price £45 per running metre, add £10 for laminate, add £10 for complex cut shapes, as the cutting can take ages sometimes.

Price is reduced the more they have, we don’t reduce to a really cheap price as the printers not the fastest when set on quality print.

Seems like good margins for you denise. What they should be. Everyone seems to be doing printing so cheaply i wonder how they make any money.

My pricing out here in euros- is 35 euros a square metre for normal print laminated. 45 euros a square metre for small stickers laminated plus 15 euros a metre contour cutting.

I think its still too cheap but im priced above average!! so what do you do.

Customers looking for a few hundred small stickers normally only care about one thing. Price…… oh and that they can have them tomorrow ofcourse

Well everybody prices to their particular market, I wont tell you what I sell at per linear meter, but I sell approx 1500-1800 linear meters per week..If i could get £45 a meter (at the same volume) I’d be travelling to work in a helicopter.

Obviously with that sort of volume our prices would be much cheaper also.

I’d normally sell print and cut out at about €38per sqm to regular clients . I’d have high volume print runs but tend to avoid this work as I find it just holds the machines up and is labour intensive.

£45 pm would only be for a couple of metres, prices reduce based on how many metres you require.

The cjv isn’t the fastest printer in the world so we can’t and won’t try to compete with eBay sellers or trade sellers selling at £9 a metre.

Large volumes clog up the machines for vehicle graphics etc. As saiid before it depends upon your target market

We charge £35 LM for straightforward stuff, £40LM for more complex.
    Large runs we price accordingly

Funny how this thread would appear today… just quoted on 1250 tiny labels.

Clarity struggled with it a little, so went back old school to £45 PLM, and got the job.

I should have left it at clarity’s price as I now have 1250 tiny stickers to weed

Same ball park as everyone else £30-£45 PLM depending on how complex it is and the amount. I’ve just chopped up 15 meters.. got another 15 to go [emoji849]
