  • Pricing Banners for School/Academy

Posted by James Boden on May 22, 2017 at 9:55 am

I’ve been asked to price up some pop up banners and standard banners for a large school/academy around the corner from me with the promise of plenty of work in the future. They are going with me because I am local to them.

Just trying to get an idea of a level of pricing I can charge. Obviously I will charge them less than someone who comes in for a one off job but will they be expecting it as cheap as say a car delearship? Never quoted for a school before.

I’ve got a meeting with them at 1pm today so no pressure with the replies :smiles:

Schools usually have a fairly hefty budget they have to spend, so don’t be silly cheap.

Personally I wouldn’t do them any favours James. Why should you…. the promise of a lot more work

If your local, then you can give them a better service than many others…. which is often worth more than saving a buck.

Thanks Jon, I thought that might be the case.

Cheers Martin for the reply

    Second Martin on this one!

    Don’t do them any favours….

My sister is a head teacher of an Academy and I’ve seen the budgets she has to play with

my take on the old " And if your good, there a lot of work here in the future i can send your way"

i usually reply, "well when all that work starts rolling in il give you some proper discounts"

every week theres the promises,. sometimes it comes , sometimes it doesnt

    I agree with Martin also…

If they are promising lots of banners etc. price it as a normal job and tell them every 10th banner you will give them it for free. that way your guaranteeing yourself work and gives them an incentive to keep feeding you work.
