    Guys/Girls

Can anyone tell me where they think I am at with the pricing of these signs.

They are metal posts with a diabond face, aluminum channels and clips to the back. It will be approx 3m tall from ground level and I reckon i will need 600mm of piping concreted into the ground.

I was counting it at around £750 and £200 to manufacture and install. It is local to me so travel is no problem. Any comments?

Not taken too much time to check the prices – but so long as you’re not screwing yourself or the customer….

Have you planned out the time taken for digging holes & the materials you’ll use to fill the holes as if you hit hard ground…you might be a lot longer than you thought.

If it’s local, consider putting in post liners (drainage pipe) an inch or 2 bigger than the post diameter one day then coming back 2 days later & just slotting the posts in place – no need to brace the sign as the cement sets 🙂

Would make a comment on the proposed 600mm in the ground…

Nursery sign – plan around 450mm and a bag of post cement per hole.

The large one – hole should be getting on for nearer 900mm+ deep and a load of cement / postmix for good measure.

Just consider the wind load especially if being planted in soft / open ground.

Thanks Dave. I’ll rethink the post depth based on your suggestions.

I think I am on the cheap side depending on fitting time but time will tell as I sent it to the customer today!

Post liners are a good idea by the way!

    Cheers
