Out of interest what would you guys charge for a standard builders board, say 32" X24" – 10mm Foamex or similar with vinyl lettering – name – general description of services – phone number – mobile and web address.

they are chippys they can knock up a 2×1 frame behind.
as they usually want cheap then 2x2ft – have 2 sir you know it makes sense

Can’t seem to get more than £30.00 People perceive them as a cheap item even though they take 30 minutes to make plus materials.

I make them on hoarding composite and charge up to £55 for one off down to £35 each if they order 8 or more. They can put it on ply if they want or I will supply a piece of ply for an extra £20 per board as it costs me about £90 for an 8×4 marine ply which I get 5 pieces from. I do a standard 3×2 board as you get 5 out of a sheet.

Interesting, I do mine with 10mm foamboard because its easy to cut and has a bit of bulk and weight to it and I make them 32" X 24" because I get 6 out of a sheet. I also radius the corners with JAG’s corner rounder. I normally sell for between £40 and £45 + VAT depending what is on them. I might take another look at the composite. Thanks for your comments

I sell the composite by telling customer it will last longer as it won’t get brittle and break esspecially at the drill holes. The edges won’t get as battered when thrown or left sliding around the back of the truck.

I offer them on composite, 10mm foamboard and correx, never done any on foamboard and done one order on correx as they wanted to leave them on site until somebody nicked it or threw it away so basically wanted it disposable.

I have a SteelTrak and now with my Rapid Applicator I do them 5 up on a sheet and apply the full sheet to an 8×4 and then chop it up on the SteelTrac, takes about 10 minutes to apply and cut up and round the corners off with the corner rounder.
