  • Posting – Solutions…..

Posted by Tim Painter on March 9, 2006 at 12:14 pm

Keep meaning to bung this one in the mix……..

OK so we all agree UKSB is a good place and of benefit to us all.
We all take & we all contribute hopefully……

One thing that I would like to see is that when someone solves a problem say with a cutter or fitting or whatever……..could they If they started a post bring that post to a conclusion if they achieved one. On some occasions I have read posts and they just stop. I realise at times there are not conclusions or solutions. I realise people get busy but it would be good I feel.

Hell I maybe talking out my whatsit on this what do you guys think????

    Tim.

couldnt agree more, if you are helped find a solution to your problem by folk here, how about letting us know if the advice and help offered actually worked, and if not, how did you get round it. 😀

Could not agree more! Well said!

I’ll start…. just want to let you know it is all sorted and I can now walk with very little complaining, not much limping, but the odd groan….

    … there, so who’s next?

    Totally agree.

I have read a good few posts where people have had problems sorted or even just been given encouragement to sort their own problems but then no thanks or appreciation is shown.

Just bad manners in my book 🙄

    Thank you Marcella…….. :lol1:

My point wasn’t to go looking for a pat on the back for giving replies, but I do agree a little manners & respect goes a long way.

Say I have a cutter problem it was reporting certain errors or was cutting wrong.
I ask opinions and see if anyone else has had the same experience.
People give there input. If I do or don’t get the solution I should return the feedback. Otherwise Joe Soap or Fred Bloggs has the same cutter problem, he searches gets the input but no feedback. Did the ideas work, did the cutter get fixed, did it cost zillions, was it that silly little screw that always works loose……blah blah…..

Not my original point that lead me to this, but a thanks with the final feedback will obviously be appreciated by those that had input in the thread and It’s only costs as much time as the time the person spent who maybe gave the solution.

I’m not on my soap box on this, just been frustrated a few times when I have read threads that just stop.

The problem is most people have so much work backed up so when they get their answer they are busy for weeks and forget to say thanks. 😉
    Thanks for reminding us Tim.
