Hi could anyone tell me if im in the right area with pricing this out, its is for a post mounted sign into a grass verge at an entrance, the panel is 6′ X 2′ with channel and clips, 2 X 76mm posts around 6′ above ground with holes for 1.5’…. most of my work is vehicle graphics etc but i dont want to go into this too cheap i was thinking around £350+ VAT

any help will be greatly appreciated 🙂

OK price – plus what ever you take to dig the holes & concrete it in.

Probably looking at 600mm deep and a few bags of postmix or similar.

If it’s easy going – allow 2 hours for the manual labour…hope you don’t hit 1) services, 2) boulders 3)demolition rubble

thats cool john, thats why i wanted to ask 🙂

as i say im more vehicle graphics based, when i worked for others i was a full sign maker and fitter but never knew the pricing of this end that well, i havent put the price for digging the holes etc on that one

Derek, that seems a very small fitting team for the council, the public sector cut backs have started to kick in round your way 🙂

I recently priced a 2 post 8×4 for approx £850+vat (fully printed and Laminated). Dont know what the rest of you guys think of that but it certainly makes yours seem quite keen John.

thanks guys this is why i ask as i dont know this side that well

but if an 8X4 is £850 thats £26.50 a sq foot for pricing sake, a 6X2 sq ft price is £318 ??

the panel is one colour plane text and a supplied one colour logo so its not printed and laminated just alu comp board and blue vinyl

I would not even consider a comparison based on the square foot area of the panel because the size of the panel may have changed but the extent of the works hasn’t

The number of poles – the amount of digging time to fabricate etc. will only change very slightly .

In fact you have to cut your 6×2 and then look for a use for the off cut. I have no waste.

I am not saying my price is correct by any means it all depends on individual circumstances and specification/qty’s of materials used.

A vehicle graphic (/m2) in one colour only would be vastly different to that of the same one in 3/4 different colours surely?

thats what im wanting to get right, mabey what i was saying reads wrong, i was looking at it here as a break down to reprice idea, but it has not worked.. still thanks for you advice on this and ill sit back down and look at it all again….

i price the post off cut etc into it so if its not used right away it doesnt cost anything to me
