• Post Bumping

Please refrain from post bumping up!
I have deleted at least 6 of these types of posts in 3 days.
Its bad enough having to move posts to the proper forums. Check all the posts for bad replies, hostility etc etc without a new trend starting.
These posts are normally found in the buy-sell-swap section (but not always). Folk are trying to make their item of sale appear at the top of the latest post scroll on the home page…
I’m sorry but if I have to continually deleting bump posts then ill just delete the the original post too.

Sorry for the negative post. 😉

    Nicola,

It’s when someone wants to get their topic/thread back up to the top of the ‘latest posts’ list so it’ll attract more attention – this is done by simply adding a ‘reply’ to your own post that consists of no more than a single word or phrase – the database then sees this as a new reply and ‘bumps’ the topic back to the top of the list – ensuring it’ll receive more/fresh attention…

    “bump”

    more soon

    Nicola…..

In places other than this the usual post is “ttt”

It stands for “to the top”
