  • Pop Up Printing pricing?

Posted by Warren Beard on April 28, 2010 at 1:15 pm

    Hi All

I am doing my first Pop Up panels and would like to know how these are generally priced in terms of comparison? Would they be priced in the "Poster" type price range which is usually less mark-up or can it be priced like vinyl print (approx £50 – £60 per square meter as it will also be laminated)

I have all my costings (except magnets which I am still looking in to) so know what it’s going to cost me etc but don’t want to charge vinyl graphic prices if the norm is poster type pricing?

There are 2 to be done so in total 10 panels all 2.2m x 670mm each.

There will also be fair amount of wasted media due to the width of 670mm and the media is 914mm (same for laminate) do I work the waste in to the area price?

    Any help appreciated.

    cheers

Down here pop-ups are usually a premium product. You also have to ensure that you cut your panels perfectly. If your cuts are off when you mount the panels they won’t line up properly.

I’d be more inclined to say pop-up panels are even more expensive then normal vinyl prints.

Are you selling the whole pop-up or just doing the panels? Down here the pop-up kits come with the magnets and the PVC sheets needed for the panels.

    Also always charge for waste.

Your material costs is the cost of all the material used. If you run off 10 linear metres the material costs is the cost of those 10 linear metres regardless of if its waste or not.

Its like a painter having to order a special colour to paint your house. He doesn’t say his got 4 litres left over and give you a discount. You get charged for all the paint.
