Song is called “Beautiful Sunday” by Daniel Boone. I bought John “Vintage Cheese” CD a couple of weeks ago and it is on there (along with many other irritating songs like Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep which our 6 year old plays constantly in John’s van)

have you had a good xmas audrey? -
I remember that song well. It’s great how a song can remind you of a certain time and place. By my reckoning, Audrey must’ve been about 2 years old when that song was first released. What’s the great significance to that song Rob?

I am afraid I don’t know that one.
And I am 2 and half months younger then Audrey 😉 -
Right guys, Audrey Lambie here. OH OH :lol1:
Dave, this song is an old favorite from years back. IT’S GREAT!Phill, it had to do with me and a couple of my old friends/neighbours years ago. Their parents used to play it allot & i loved dancing to it.
By the way, good to see/hear from you again Phill! 😛

My favourite song of all time is “Don’t dream it’s over by “Sixpence none the Richer” – reminds me of my holiday back in October.

Hey great to see you. It’s strange I used to DJ and do a lot of Karaoke stuff, haven’t heard that one although only heard a quick snippet of it.
I remember songs like S-Express, Technotronic- pump up the jam or Walk on By etc.
😎

even I have heard of that one Phill (or remix) whoops!

Dave, sorry. but that is not really my taste in music i’m afraid, but i do like some of it.

Wow, thanks for that Audrey.
What a blast from the past….
The wife has been humming it since I read the post
Brings back some fantastic memories, going to the beach with mum and dad, summers in Sydney….
I’ve got it on a compilation CD somewhere here. Must find it and put it in the van…. It’ll drive my kids batty, which is an added bonus 😮 :lol1:

Damn now that song will be in my head all day….
I think I was in 4th grade when it came out.

Original “Don’t Dream it’s over” was by Australian band Crowded House
