Photoluminescent vinyl can it be used on vehicles?

Can Photo luminescent vinyl be used on vehicle’s or is it against the law?

i tried to convince the wife that i NEEDED to do this to my Defender……

I have just removed all the old vinyl from my tow a van and want something different.

have a look at the oracal photo luminescent, its very thin and feels like a regular vinyl. i have been sent a sample to do a wrap with after requesting it some time ago… you have just reminded me! :lol1:

hmm, see that before.
i’ve tested lots and lots and lots of photo luminescent films in a particular area, if it’s totally black skies (no moon or light polution) then you’ve half a chance. on the ground it works a bit better because the surrounding area has less reflection than light in the sky. I charge with ultra violet lights as well as spotlights and it just doesn’t stay bright enough.
if you put the lights to just 10% in that workshop with the car, it’d look normal within 30 seconds! for it to glow that bright initially i’d reckon the lights were on it for longer than a couple of mins.
the brightest / longest lasting i’ve found are as thick as carpet, the thin ones – to be totally blunt- have proved absolutely naff.
I did do a review here once, will try and find it.
