    Hi
The customer has asked for a scaled photo of the propossed sign on the building so he can submit to the council.

So I`ve taken a photo, enlarged it in signlab so the door is what I`ve measured it at.

I`ve dropped the sign over the top of the photo and its bang on what I measured it to be.

My problem is how to scale it down. The photo is 7.4m long. If I type in 1 into the % box, it drops down to 74mm.

But what do I tell the customer it is scaled to, as you have to type in the box 10000 to get it scaled back to the original size

    many thanks

Scale it 5% it’ll be 1:20 same as the vehicle outlines are.

Scale it 2000% up to full size.

What I do when scaling down proofs. Use the measurement tool to show the size of the proposed sign Duplicate photo with your design, group together and reduce down to roughly the size of an A4 paper then file export image and that should save it as a jpeg.
