    Hi all

I have recently seen an interesting effect of a photograph reproduced in strips of vinyl.

Similar to Robs one way vinyl technique however the strips vary in thickness so when you stand back from it you see a picture. 😮

    How is this done?

Can I do it in say corel or do I need some expensive sign software?

Any help would be great and if you have any examples to show us that would be good too. 🙂

    Thanks a lot

    Hi Paul,
You can do this in Signlab, not sure about Corel though.

    Hi Paul

I agree with mike you can do it in SignLab

I just had a look in Corel went to trace bitmap in corel trace then used woodcut trace & got simiar effect not quite as good but you could try this & play with the settings and see what you get.

    Godd luck

hi paul, yeh, mikes right signlab has that feature. been on it for years now…
i think some other packages can do it but the names slip me.
ide only really advise using this method for fairly large images, as its a pain to weed the very thin parts.
