  • Phone line down, can’t use printer :-(

    Hi guys

    We’ve had no phone or broadband all day, possibly not tomorrow either.

    Now, sorry if this sounds dumb. But can someone confirm that I can’t use my Versacamm without the broadband/network working?

    Is there any way around it?? (plugging in directly to PC??)

    providing the router is still working it should work, Versaworks won’t be able to connect for updates but your printer should still work. If you do connect direct to pc you may have to reset the PCs ip address

    leave it all connected fine… take the router out then u got no-one in charge of IP numbers.

    If the router is providing each device on your network with a specific number (IP address) then you will probably encounter problems. If each device on your network has a specific number, then everything should work fine (except your internet connection of course). It depends on how the network was set up initially I’m afraid. Post back if you’ve got any questions though.

    I sorted the problem, was quite simple really. Instead of using a wireless connection, I simply plugged the ethernet cable straight into the PC, bingo! 😳
