Hi All hope your keeping well.

I’m having two problems with the PC60 and was hoping, one of you master minds could point me in the right direction.

I’m doing some tax disk jobbies for the local car dealership, out of white static cling (victory design), as this seemed to be the cheapest option.

The tax disk is just lettering within an 80mm diameter but with an overall size of 100mm.

The text is made up of black text, no issues here with that, but the main body is made up of Chorus Line Shadow SSI ( yes I know it’s a TTF but legacy signage dictated this)

With the main body of text is have broken the path so that I could adjust the colours, shadow is spot 12 (black) foreground is spot 08 mirror gold (Non Roland).

Now the first problem is with the Mirror Gold, as far as the text it’s self is concerned it’s perfect, but there seems to be a lead in and a lead out line.

    i.e.

    ———– ———
    TEXT
    ———- ———

The – representing a banding line all the way from the begging to the edge of the 100 mm

Is there a way to over come this????

The other problem is to do with the cutting of the circle. Again this is the 100mm circle and I’m getting three convex nicks from the cutting an one concaved.

This graphic has been set up in Signlab 6.1 rev 13, and can’t understand why these nicks are being produced.

Or are the nicks down to the static cling?

Any and all help would be much appreciated.

Have a great Easter weekend one and all.

I have had the line problem with the foil gold and silver but found that they rub off quite easily with the finger and any stubborn spots I just dip an earbud in isopropanol alchohol and rub away the rest.

i have seen this misshapened circle before and it was the material buckeling while cutting cure was a new blade and less pressure
thinking about it that was cling film aswell

    Mike & Chris.

Thanks for the advice, I have followed them to the T and all seems well.

    Mike :

Bit of a bummer with the unwanted lines… did not factor this into the price, i.e. cleaning up.

    Chris:

Took the blade out of the camm 1 and used this in the PC60, worked a treat.

Once again UKSignboard members come to the recuse.

    Thanks

    Dan
