    Received a cheque in November
It was for work I did in September
Yeah! So what! I hear you say

It was for work I did in September 2002!!

What’s more the original invoice was £320 but he made it out for £350 in thanks for waiting.

Thought this was a dead one but kept pursuing it since he had not knocked me off my only contact with him, his mobile phone.

It appears he had been genuinely stitched in partnership with another guy who ended up abroad with the proceeds of the business.

So one year and two months
    Is this a record?
    Can you beat that?

I have the odd outstanding invoice, but I doubt I’d be that lucky 🙁 I only have myself to blame mind you, as I have a tendancy to mentally ‘write off’ a certain amount. Chasing none payers can be a nightmare, even more so if its a substantial amount. Obviously your persistance has been the key John and you’ve found an honest trader with a conscience.

    Cheers, Dewi

I’m with Martin…There’s nothing like a bit of friendly intimidation to get paid… (:)

Well done though John…You didn’t lock him in a room and start telling him jokes did you? 😆

WELL DONE JOHN.. ITS ALWAYS GOOD TO finaly get paid. especialy after that length of time.. 😉
have we been in your shoes? god! if only we hadnt.. i know the advice dont let bills get that high, dont do this, dont do that! everyones always got their answer.. but still we get stung. happens to the best of us..
we only have one none payer at the moment. thankfuly this is not a chancer! this is a large company we have dealt with for about 5 years now & is on more a personal level. they can run up bills very high, fast. but always pay in 60 days.. right on the nose. this time a big property company went bust on them owing them something like 2 million.. the bad bit for us was they owed us 22 grand! ouch 😮 well.. we spoke with them and they assured us if we gave them time they would gradualy pay it off.. we had to agree as we knew they did not have the cash. 8 months later they still owe us 5 grand.. not good i know but at least they are trying.. we could go the legal route and see bothing but a liquidation notice.. 😕

anyway.. thought ide give my little winge worth.. 🙁
