  • Paper or clear application tape?

Posted by Roger Clements on July 15, 2009 at 5:52 pm

    Hi one and all…

Jillbeans has just posted in my question about wet/windy outdoor applications a point I didn’t even consider. As a ‘newbie’ application tape is just that….either paper or clear……but referring to Jillbeans comment about clear tape I was wondering……question…..what are the pros/cons for each type and in what application would you more knowledgable members utilise which tape?

Thanks in advance for the ‘hopefully’ forthcoming edification..

99% paper and we lay up layers before applying so no need to see registration marks. + if 3 layers one only layer of app tape 🙄

    Hi roger

same as lynn for me 99.9%paper i have some clear which holds the door open.
sometimes use it as transfer tape when layering two different colours only small stuff
with the paper when applying you can stretch it and tear it when needed
