Panel Jam Design
Posted by Stevo Chartrand on November 2, 2004 at 5:00 pmHi Folks!
Here’s a design I was doing for just a simple ad for the letterheads magazine. Well I couldnt stop myself and just kept adding shades highlights, a pictorial, outlines, ornaments, I was just having too much fun and couldnt stop! It’s all done in Corel Draw and probably put about a good 8 hours into it.
Comments and questions welcome.

That is just rubbish! I hate everything about it!
8 hours? Looks more like 8 minutes work to me. 😉
S’bloody great Stevo. Thanks for sharing another of your top banana designs.

That’s amazing and truly inspiring to see what can be achieved using vector drawn artwork.
The only part that couldn’t be done using simply vinyl is the gradient fill running through the text. Having said that the design is so complex it would probably make more sense to print it than to try and create it in vinyl anyway.

now that’s bloody good!! 😛 😛
you are an absolute marvel with corel draw stevo!! 😀 😀 😉
terrific skill!! 😀 😀nik

No doubt about it Stevo, you got the knack matey !
Never really got to grips using corel myself, and drift back to what I know using illustrator and photoshop, but looking at what you produce makes me wonder if i’m not missing out on something.
How many layers go to make up something like this, and where do you start, with the background or lettering ?
First class Stevo ………… Your trully a master of digital imagery.

Thanks a bunch for all the compliments!!
Robert,
I agree with you on the shadow, its just a tad too dark. After working on it for awhile right in front of ya, you can miss some of the details.I can give you guys a quick demo on how I achieve some of this look if you’d like.
