  • Packaging labels for sending out goods, views?

Posted by Daniel Evans on June 6, 2019 at 12:11 pm

    Afternoon all.

I’m sending more and more stuff out now and up till now I been printing my labels on plain paper and sticking them down with tape.

I want to look more professional so wondered how you all do it.

Do you use the plastic wallets, do you use self adhesive paper? I was originally posting on here to ask where I can get self adhesive paper for a laser printer but just thought of the plastic wallets.

I’d like the cheapest option possible.

    Thanks

Have a look at the Brother range of label printers. We’ve one called a ql-700 that prints on rolls of address labels, cheap as chips on ebay.

Plastic wallet type, delivery note slipped inside it, showing the address on the front and contents on the other side. No prices.

The post office online system which is connected to eBay, Amazon and Etsy prints prints the delivery note and product detains once the item has been moved to a delivery state.

Most Couriers will supply plastic wallets especially UPS who do no end of boxes etc.

Im with parcelforce who supply the plastic wallets but I normally use 4 labels to a page sticky labels from e… very cheap and works straight out the laser printer with most couriers label sizes.

If you want to get very professional you can go with the thermal label printers lots of UPS ones on second hand sites, again most supply rolls of labels for these just not the machine itself unless your spending £k’s

With all the current fuss about single use plastics you would be doing yourself a disservice to add plastic wallets to your packing. Customers are getting sensitive and notice this kind of thing.
Self adhesive paper labels are perfectly professional.

I agree, though I’m still using those doc enclosed wallets… I bought them about 10yrs ago and still have a couple of thou left. I doubt they can be recycled so I’m just using them up!

They can be tailor printed to your precise need using paper labels, vinyl labels, tamperproof labels. Die-cut labels are also available in every shape, size, and color. Numerous lamination options are available including matte and gloss lamination, embossed lettering, foiling, and many more.
