Outlook – How do I?
Posted by Carlos Cavanagh on February 4, 2006 at 12:01 pmI request quotes from my four suppliers of perspex via e-mail.
How can I send the same email to all of them but make it look like it’s only to each recipient?
I tried to send to one and BCC the others – Perhaps I should send it to myself and BCC them all but it pretty obvious.
Any ideas? 😮Carlos Cavanagh replied 18 years, 3 months ago 4 Members · 6 Replies -

Any ideas? 😮CC = Carbon Copy (everyone can see who it was sent too)
BCC = Blind Carbon Copy (no one can see the others)Hope that helps
or even just CC it and let them know your sourcing it from other places 😉

I had a bloke send me an email today requesting a quote on another sign guys artwork.
I was not interested the minute I saw that, AND the fact that he had cc’d it to 6 other sign shops on the same email…
I just ignored it. I don’t mind being treated like an idiot, I just ask that you don’t make it to obvious 🙄

Exactly what I mean. In this competitive business I have to shop for every penny but I’d like to be polite about it. Like Reagan said: “trust, but verify”
It would be great if they all received an email that looked like it was for them only. The CC’s and BCC’s give the game away immediately. -
There is a free program I use called YAMS. It mail merges emails and the person is non the wiser that others got the same email.

Thanks Shane! I couldn’t find Yams (got a bunch of recipies) but I did find one called “send personally” that does just that.
I’ll trial it out & see how it works – Had to go from Outlook Express to the full Outlook, though. 😕
