Hi hope soemone can help with this one

Have a client who wants to give me an order for a job
but we cant finalise a design.

She has told me this evening that she wants something with an oriental theme.

Now this is for a hairdresser so dragons etc out of the window – I was thinking more like repeat pattern bamboo or lotus flower designs that I could drop into the background of frosted windows etc

Does anyone have any files like this that I could crib from

    any help much appreciated

    thanks

    colin

My thoughts here were for a Geisha Girl Bob haircut type of image.

A quick google image search produces lots of results. How about vectorising and editing this to suit:-

Well it’s Oriental, Hairdressy and I happen to like it 😮

Try a character from a floral dingbat font, there are some on these pages:

I have a few of these books. This book has some great patterns in it,

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Chinese-Pattern … 321&sr=8-1

and so does the japanese version. Many in two tone as i remember.

They come with all of the patterns as jpg. images on a cd. So you may have to vectorize them if you need them that way.

Not sure if you’re doing cut vinyl or print but there maybe some useful patterns at his download link, all vector format oriental patterns-

    Hi Colin

Sorry I didn’t post up on Friday, but we had a break-in at the pub in the early hours of Friday am, so most of the day was spent with the police 😥

Anyway, this is what I did in gold etch, idea inspired by their ‘paisley’ style wallpaper. Total pig to fit, luckily all turned out OK in the end!
