  • Options where to pick up good secondhand camera

Have spent some weeks tracking nikon d60 type cameras on eBay. Bit of a lottery and prices soar on last days of auction naturally. Looking for reliable online shop some of you may have dealt with in the past where I would have a comenback if anything wrong. Don’t want to spend the cash on new gear as this will be mainly as a hobby

Kevin, have a look at adverts.ie. They have a photography section. I know lads that have bought from it and had no issues. It’s usually photographers themselves upgrading/swapping. Also have a look at http://www.photographyireland.net they have a ‘for sale’ section. Again these tend to be photogs selling gear. Some of the camera shops in Dublin and around the country have 2nd hand gear but you’ll pay that bit extra for it.

Not sure if you got a camera yet! but i would stick to fleabay! as their are some great bargains out their if you know what your looking at!

I bought a Nikon D2X 8 Months old with about £400 worth of Extras! Just short of £5000 Worth when new!
It still had 16 months to run on the warranty and I paid just a tad over £1100 for it,
However budjet is the main thing here I would check out http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d60.htm
This guy really knows his stuff

Mind you I agree with him about the D40 being a better camera than the D60
