One way digital print with black adhesive side?
Posted by Cheryl Smith on September 1, 2012 at 12:08 pmHi there
id like to make a one way vision printing and then using the cutting in small strips method in an office…Id like to use a material with the sticky side being black as it would lend well to the interior design…I know this material exists but does anyone know what it is?
many thanks in advance

most print whites have a gray back but not seen a black it may be called block out. else print to white and flood on to black then cut the stripes which i have done and worked well

thats a thought Chris….wouldn’t be so happy about a triple thickness material through my brand new Roland tho…

Hi cheryl
as chris has said, use grey backed digital or laminate onto black, then cut.
it does work as we have done this sort of thing also.
david mcdonald replies to my demo below saying he has done it too and its worked well.once your done, would be good to see your ob you finished. if you get a chance reply to the tutorial with them as its always good to see how others have got on. thanks.

Grafityp also do a monomeric vinyl with black adhesive side which may be cheaper than wrap vinyl if no curves.
S06S matt version
S05S gloss -
there is also Ritrama 4239: monomeric, 100um, black adhesive

Yeah we also use Ritrama 100 which is also black block out, fairly cheap, quite thick and prints well ideal for internal windows exhibitions etc.
