Omega Upgrade
Posted by Chris Windebank on December 14, 2006 at 3:01 pmHi All, I am using Omega 1.56 (Composer) and find it hard to export files properly. I called Spandex and offered me an upgrade for 300.00 and said it is better for exporting. Has anyone done the latest upgrade and if so, is it any better?

I’m still on 2.02 and it imports/exports without any major problems. Although Corel files have to ver.5 and .ai files have to be 6 or lower for importing.
I didn’t even hear of 3.0 coming out yet. If you are doing alot of converting I would upgrade to save yourself alot of potential headaches.
Check out gspinc.com for info.
Best of luck!Stevo 😀

Thanks Steve, mainly its the export to jpg so I can email to client, colours change, bits missing. My point was to Spandex that the software was not good in the first place so why pay for an upgrade, should have worked before

Hi Chris,
If you have PaintShop Pro or similar, use the camera on the programme to do a screen capture your layout for emailing. Costs Nowt 😀

Have you got the latest updates for 1.56 from gspinc.com?

Have upgraded to omega 2.5 for 5 months now and it’s great for importing clients PDF’s etc.It also has a photoshop layer type capacity which is excellent.Have to say all machines and software are spandex orientated so maybe a bit biased on my part 🙄

Hi Nick, trying to find the updates but all I can find is the new version, are they available? Thanks for your help.

No problem. I have Omega 2.1 and liked it so much that I upgraded to SignLab 😀
