On the first gspplot window, do you have a dialog box open (such as device select, etc). If so, every job you send to the gspplot will open a new window.

Quick solution (as I’m not at work): shut ALL gspplot windows, and it should be cured.

In GSPplot, go to tools/options on the menu bar, and put a tick in "warn when exiting gspplot from quick launch mode".

Not sure if it will work but it’s the only thing I can think of at the moment.

Have you checked that all the gspplot windows have been shut down? And maybe even reboot the pc.

    Regards

If that doesn’t work, then untick it and try again (that’s my setup)

We have heard about this is all versions of Omega and never really figured out why. If a second GspPlot starts it’s best to close all GspPlots and start again. There should be no reason to reboot / logoff.

How it works – when you select quick plot

Composer creates a temp file and schedules gspql.exe
Gspql looks for an existing GspPlot already executing
if there is one it signals it that there is a new file, if it does not find one it schedules GspPlot

Thats the way it’s suppose to work.

Hi Tony long time no chat,

Usually if a dialog box is open then the focus is off the main window, hence why a new gspplot is executed.
What you say (shut down all gspplots and only re-send the job) always works for me.

    Regards,
    George

Used to have this problem, but can’t remember how it got fixed, all I can say is make sure you have the latest updates for Omega installed

Yes, if a dialog is opened in GspPlot and you quickplot from Composer another instance of plot will start.

    Hi Peter,

But I can buy the dongle as a seperate for the licensed copy I have obtained and have at the moment.

Is this software any good and how is it compared to Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator??

its a dedicated signmakers program, I think its the best because its what I am used to.
As Peter said, no good without the dongle and not sure you can buy one alone

All Omega CDs / DVDs of a particular version are the same; it’s the security key that is unique. Since you are not the original registered user there is no “proof” that you just did not copy an original. I’m not sayig that you did. I think the distributor will just offer you a new Omega (the latest) with a security key and most likely at the full price. If you wish to see whats in the latest you can visit http://www.gspinc.com and select software.
