How many Omega users would use a nesting option to nest vinyl only (cut objects) on a specified sheet or roll?

Would anyone want the same for Edge jobs? This would require gradient fills to be rotated / flipped with object.

User would specify sheet/roll size, spacing and rotation increment of objects.

I’m talking about vinyl only now, not routers (yet).

    Hi Tony, thanks for joining.
well we currently lay everything out in Corel and then Export directly to it, but recently i been wondering what options there is in Omega for nesting and automatic cutting, we only use "cut selected" but i see there is a option for "cut by vinyl" colour, so i thinking about giving this a try.

I had looked at a plugin for corel written by a russian, dant good at nesting but wanted a currency that I couldn’t pay lol

If u r from GSP, any news on White ink for the Ion yet?

    Dave,

The cut by vinyl option would use a lot of vinyl,it outputs the complete area of the job but only the vinyl colour you select 😮

    Hope that makes sense

Fred I agree. This is where the nesting would come in handy if people really would use nested vinyl jobs. I for one don’t see it as I think time is more expensive than material savings but I may be wrong.
