An unusual request from the vicar after I had just completed his Main Sign:
Could I add his name to the register which stretches back to the 14th Century

Nice bit of caligraphy Buddy πŸ˜€

Bet you were sweating a bit! If you mucked it up you couldn’t pick it off & cut it again could you πŸ˜›

What paint did you use John?

    Well done mate,

It was nerve wracking for that very reason
If you mucked it you mucked it up!
Theres simply no way of rectifying it

I used a calligraphy pen for the black and copperplate nibs for the red and blue letters using a non-fade water colour from Germany

Unfortunately this picture doesn’t do it justice because the whole thing was done by hand early last century
I think I might have a shot of it with more detail of the surrounding area

    Nice one John well done.

As Steve says that must have been a nerve-racking job πŸ˜•

I presume you’re not planning on making the next entry because if you are the 20?? Is going to be a bit tight. πŸ˜‰

    No problem Al’

    He’s retiring in 2111 πŸ˜† πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

My only concern is the pot of ink that I have!

Will it last or will it evaporate
