I missed it!!

or at least Terry Wogan…

It was a sad week last week for ex-pats, the BBC decided to move their digital channels from Sky to Astra 2D which has a footprint which covers UK, parts of France, Benelux and Iceland! but no longer reaches us. They save paying sky £85 million, and get to use an unencrypted transponder.

Alot of sad people up here and in Spain who enjoy all the BBC drama etc etc.

You would think in days of “european harmony!” that Germans, Swedes etc in England could watch their telly as could we….nevermind, its summer now and its doesn’t really get dark here these days so time to enjoy other things.

That was the first bad news….when ITV went digital we got really excited until we realised they were on Astra 2D….its a shame Sky are welcome to all their channels, I was only really interested in UK terrrestial TV.

So now according to earths orbit and atmospheric conditions you can get ITV for a couple of hours in the afternoon, and a very disturbed BBC picture, thats with a 1.25m dish.

…well I watched a bit of the Eurovision Song Contest and…is it just me or was our girl singing in a different key to her backing music and her ‘fella’… 😕

…either that or she just plain can’t sing!!! 🙁

We were crap and got exactly what we deserved – ‘nil pwargh’ 😀

The only good thing about the entire show was, the winners dance routine, the Austrian nutcase and Terry Wogans’ comments about all them ‘jolly rotten foreigners’… 😆 😆 😆
