Just wanted to post this as a bit of a heads up for now…

I have noticed that not only are competition entries landing in my spam bin, also membership notifications.
i thought i had sorted this by setting the membership notices as "not spam" but still they land in the bin. i am almost 100% that this is down to an error on BT’s Fault as it has happened before. i am also finding emails sent to me from the "contact us" form sent from the site also going in the SPAM bin so there doesn’t seem to be a pattern as some get through, some don’t.

anyway, i wanted to post this so that those that have taken membership or contacted me recently do not think i am ignoring them.

sorry for any inconvenience caused by this…

yeah, I initially contacted you trough ‘contact us’ as I had real trouble registering….(I think it somehow got rejected when I tried using my hotmail account… when I changed that, it worked). Anyway…. I read another of your replies that suggested messages ended up in the spam bin… so I figured out that the same had happened to my message.
    No worries….

Suggestion: maybe to mention something about it in your automated reply??????

it appears to be fixed shane, but i am still finding the odd one in the spam bin. so much so i am checking the spam bin every time i can to make sure nothing is in it. more so because of the competition that was running.
from what i can make of it the only thing i see why some and not others end in the bin is the way the subject boxes are filled or the content in message as it may be looked on as a bulk email/spam due to key words.
that being the case i think BT may have increased their security on spam.
the other possibility is that my own server for the site is over filtering because 9/10 of my mail goes through 2 spam filters before reaching me. probably the reason i get virtually NO spam. 😀
i will persist with checking folders for the next few days until i get the new site structure etc 100% then address this problem…
Angelique, its probably a good idea as you have said to have some sort of note. i plan updating the support Q&A’s and other areas of the site which should help also.

    hers hoping anyway! :lol1:
