One of those jobs where the clients insisted on doing the design and everything.

Everytime I made a suggestion, he knocked me back.

Only concession he made was with the colours.

The fade is printed and laminated, the rest is computer cut.

I could have done so much better tho if he had let me. 🙁

    Cheers

I like the fade, was it printed on clear or white?
Some customers cant be convinced, but as long as he was happy thats all that matters 😀

I guess we all have customers like these eh. I like to walk away from a job feeling satisfied I have done my best… but this one leaves me flat i am afraid.

The print was on white. Should have done it clear, but the white tape was really close to the white duco colour, and as I had no clear in stock – white it was. 😮

    Thanks for the comments everyone

It’s not the worst thing I’ve ever seen!
No Hellvetica, and no “TEL” either!
Take his money and tell him not to let the door hit him in the ass on his way out of your shop.

I have a confession to make Jill. Everytime a client wants to put ‘tel’ in front of his number, I tell him that I have a highly respected female sign associate, known throughout various parts of OZ, the USA and UK, that would give me a slap on the wrist if I didn’t at least try and talk them out of it 😛 I have never had a refusal!

As far as Helvetica goes, most of my trucking clients seem to want ‘a simple block text’ 🙄 No imagination I know, but I never even give them helvetica as an option 🙂

    well I like it 😉
not sure what that says about me, and what more I even think helvetica has it’s place (I like the helvetica neu — or however it’s spelled)
    :lol1: :lol1:

I think some jobs are just meant to be bread and butter jobs
and sometimes if you can get away with giving them margarine for the same price (hey if that’s what they want…can’t always argue it)
    then Yeahhhhh for you 😉

You are right of course Leigh. Shouldn’t be too harsh on Helvetica, just that when I started in this game in 92, pre-microsoft windows, all you would see was Brush script, Helvetica and Hobo.

I always like to try some others if I can, otherwise I feel I am no better than I was in the late ’90’s 🙄
