We have only been in the trade for a year and have found the Sign Group to be an essential source for tips, advice and inspiration. It wasn’t until last week that I realised just how much we have benefitted financially from being a full member. We had placed an order for supplies and the company forgot to apply our discount (which isn’t usually shown on the invoices). Upon contacting the supplier I was amazed at just how much they discount their prices to members of the group.

My advice to anyone browsing the site and wondering whether to join – get you cheque book out.

(and no, I’m not on commission!!!)

I have to agree with both John and Eddie, I would pay the membership fee even if there were no discounts from suppliers some people pay a lot of money to go on courses to learn some of the tips and tricks that are available on here free to full members.
The discounts from suppliers is the icing on the cake. John did you get your discount sorted out ? I have been overcharged for some stuff and been delivered some damaged goods and I’m still waiting for someone to sort it out for me. Despite several phone calls nothing has happened as yet, I guess I’m just not big enough for them to worry about.

thanks for the positive feedback guys.. 😉
im working on some new suppliers for materials and equipment we dont as yet, get discount for. who and what ill keep under my hat for now.. but all will be reveiled as soon as i can find some ore time for talks.. 😉

if any member of the UKSG is being singled out or misstreated, over paying etc etc then i would advise you to email me with full details. who you spoke to and when.. this is important. also send a copy to your local branch manager.
this way they will expect a call from myself and be clear on the complaint.
    😉

Problem with Europoint was sorted out as soon as I brought it to their attention. They just held the credit and used it against our next order. Mistakes will always happen in business and I think it’s how the company resolve it that’s important and in this case they handled it well.
