took a picture of this during the summer…
went to take a picture of the rear, and got caught by the owner 😮

the back was a scream, he had listed all the fruit and veg he did, along with a doodle of a strawberry.

    I’m sure you can imagine? 😕 :lol1:

I think it’s effective to be honest.
It shows that the seller may not have much money and therefore sell’s cheap fruit and veg.

Can I borrow that one for my portfolio Rob?

Next time I get an enquiry asking me to do a van as cheaply as possible, I’ll show him that one and tell him prices start from as little as £25 depending on what sort of impression he’s trying to create 😕 (The stripes are extra by the way 😕 )

Weren’t you embarrassed at getting caught by the owner when you took this picture 😳 – What excuse did you come up with :lol1:

well i took it from the van, first one was easy, but i needed to reverse van back and around… as i did “from drivers seat” he walked over to the back and immediatley turned and looked in the van at me… john, sitting next to me, slid down in his seat laughing while i just calmly lowered the camera and began reversing again. 😉
if you would have seen the back you would have had a right old laugh… drawing a big strawberry on the back just looked sooo bad!
phill, thats a good idea actually… plan a do and dont section in our reception for customers. 😀

jill this van was near the place you stayed when you were here… i HOPE your kidding 😮 :lol1: :lol1: :lol1:

I did see a lot of yellow and blue signs in Cowdenbeath…
    they were my inspiration.
The farmer wanted people to think he was poor,
so they take pity on him and buy plenty of neeps and tatties.
His other ride is a BMW.

Cheap fruit and veg may also imply ‘not fresh’ Dave.

Thanks mate, I was wondering what cavans was myself. Concluded it must be a West Australian thing 🙄

probably gets heaps of cash work, pays no tax, and is laughing at the rest of us trying to do it ‘by the book’ :lol1:

I remember years ago there was this guy that sold papers on the street corner in Sydney. A real deadbeat, no teeth, never washed, couldn’t read. Everyone took pity on him and told him to keep the change etc.

When he died, he was actually very wealthy. Apparently he learned early that if you can give the impression that your a battler, people will be more forthcoming. I wonder if these people are working on the same theory?

I thought ‘Cavans’ was perhaps his name or his company name? Maybe not, but the only word that it resembles is caravan and that’s got nothing to do with gardening!

Of course it’s wonderful Shane, look at it, simply stunning and I think the spelling mistakes just add a touch of uniqueness to it! 😉

Shane, I think the battler look was unintentional.

Here’s another bit of fancy signwriting I found last year, feel free to use it if you like 😀
