• New Years Plans

Well I was going to stay in tonight but I know where there is a 70’s optional fancy dress party going on and also know that there is a very, very fit group of 21 year old ladies going in hotpants and rollerboots!!

What to do, what to do! 😀

Will you be dressing like Bowie did in the 70s?
    😮
    I’d go, sounds like fun.
I am going to a small party at my brother’s house.
    Love….Jill

Well I ended up staying in and watching Jools Holland! lol

My plans for the New Year (a resolution of sorts) is simply to make a better go of things and make something of myself.

I took a big risk leaving a £30k job with Shell to do this full time and although im loving it, its been hard not drawing a wage for 9 months. Im going to push myself to advertise better and make people more aware that I am there.

Not the best or most exciting resolution, but hopefully one that will keep me doing what I enjoy.

What about you and everyone else Rob?

I guess its something most here have had to face too Paul.

Only advice I can give is this: give your clients honest value, honest service, and be a good listener. If you can master those three points, you are halfway there.

Remember the old adage…. it often takes years to get a really good name, but minutes to get a bad one.. that’s often all the incentive you need 🙂

Its actually much cheaper to maintain a regular client, compared the the expense of finding a new one.

You’ll see the light at the end of the tunnel soon I’m sure, you seem a nice bloke with good ethics.

The one advantage you have over me when I started out 17 years ago is the UKSB’s community. This resource alone would have saved me many months of heartache.

Hope it goes well for you anyway mate.

    Cheers
    Shane
