New Workshop
Posted by Paul Humble on October 20, 2009 at 2:58 pmJust moved into my new workshop this week and although its not a patch on most of UKSB members areas im still quite proud to get to this point in just over a year of trading (through a recession!).
The rent has went up by £50 a week from my last place but now im all self contained and have a counter area that I hope to make the difference in rent from.
Excuse the pics, they are from my phone, and excuse such things as unfinished plasterboard as I had to prioritise my cash elsewhere, plus the place isnt finished yet, I need to tidy up and finish the customer area aswell as bringing the remainder of my equipment from the old unit.
Thanks to everyone who has helped me along the way, its all been hugely appreciated and made me fight on even when I almost gave up.

Wish you all the luck in your new premises 😉

Nice!
I would have that messed up in about 2 days’ time.
I am so envious of those with a clean uncluttered shop.
Maybe some day when my kids move out I will, also.
Love….Jill -
Cheers everyone!
Derek,
You saw my last place and know how bad it was, I am sworn not to let this place get like that! lo!!

I am so jealous! My unit is way too small now, it’s so full I can’t clean it! (That’s my excuse anyway). I’ve been looking for months for a new unit, trouble is I love my location, if only it were twice the size!

Best of luck Paul.
Any tips for a new starter??lol

Well I think it’s rubbish, nowhere near enough milk and not enough graphics on the walls :lol1: :lol1:
Paul, well done and good luck with the move, pretty sure it won’t be long before your not only making enough to cover the extra money a week but far exceeding it.

You seen me when I was about to pack in Gill, id all but given up!
As for the milk, when I first moved in there was a Milk Float parked out the back, it wasnt in the way and is hardly an eyesore. The owner knocked on the door and explained he had parked there for security as its a locked compound and if he could keep parking there then he would give me a bottle of milk everyday. Sounded great at first but now im overrun with milk!!
