Well, that’s not quite true but like all good stories it needed a catchy headline…

so, now I’ve got your attention I thought everyone might like to know how I’d got on as one of the first to take advantage of the ALL NEW deal from Europoint for members of the UKSignGroup.

What prompted me was today?s delivery of my very own product pack direct from Europoint. As a new UKSG account I?d been promised a starter pack and despite a short delay in receiving it I was very impressed when it arrived.

It contained two complete vinyl colour swatches complete with three stage tear-off samples for the customer every piece printed clearly with the colours name and code. In addition I received a very smart display box of all the different coloured fluted polypropylene board they supply, again with everything clearly labelled. Further inspection revealed a good sized swatch for Forex foam board (from 1mm right up to the 19mm options), a swatch for Forex Classic (satin faced coloured foam board) and a further swatch for Forex Top (gloss faced coloured foam board) in addition there were a whole range of vinyl pamphlets containing flip-out leaves of colour and all the technical information you could think of, not to mention some I hadn?t!

Then there was the price list. Not something regurgitated from a dot matrix printer with a discount scribbled on the front, but a quality bound booklet individually printed with my name. Inside were the full names and job descriptions of all my contacts in the regional office from the sales staff right up to the man in charge. Every product range laid out page by page with the UKSG special price shown clearly next to every single item. Not only that but a useful ?stock matrix? for each product showing which colours are generally held ex-stock so that you don?t go promising the customer something next day when it?s non-standard.

Last week I received my first delivery of their 751 series vinyl and used it on a Mercedes custom-body lorry (complete with rivets!) and was frankly impressed with the vinyl. The vinyl had a very clean surface without pits or blemishes which then cut , weeded and applied with ease – yes, even over the rivets and I hate rivets! The important thing here was that I didn?t have to change my approach, it worked just like my existing vinyl. I ended up with a smart looking vehicle livery applied outside with no fuss for something like 60% of the usual cost. I know sign makers have a bit of a reputation for hating bookwork but that sounds like good business to me!

I?ve just ordered my first delivery of Foam plastic, some in sheet form and some cut to size (for which there is no charge) and amazingly they arrived the very next day, including all the cut pieces?very satisfying!

The actual setting-up of my account with Europoint had been a slightly bumpy ride but only because I was fast realising that I was the guinea-pig and that all of the mechanism necessary to ensure the UKSG special deal was still being implemented. Let?s be clear about this, when even the Europoint staff, at first, raise an eye brow at the deals you tell them you?ve been offered as a group, then you know you?re on to a winner!

Only the next few months will see how this all works out but so far it?s certainly proved to be one of the best new year?s resolutions I made in that I?m very happy and definitely more prosperous because of it.

    more soon?

in there defence i have never really had a bad complaint with them. yes you get the odd misunderstanding like you do with any company of this size, but they are on the ball when it comes to sorting any problems out.
give them a try im sure you will find them excellent to do business with.
