From my attic in the summer of 2010, as a second job, to a fully equipped and self employed job in 2015! Sleepless nights, often thinking about the decisions I had to make 🙂 This week I said hello to a new ‪#‎SummaS2‬ plotter, a new ‪#‎HPLatex360‬ and a Easymount 160SH laminator! From a infrared heated shop for carwrapping, to the daylight standard lights in the printshop on the first floor because good is still not good enough :)) 5 years of hard working, doing more than double shifts, only with one goal in my mind, lettering and signing with that extra something…

I am proud of myself I do 🙂 no help from anyone, living on myself, making sure that the bills are still being paid even with customers who don’t like to pay on time 😉

I am hiring a unit and here a some photos from the interior I have upgraded it myself, so being able to meet with clients in a nice office between all the machinery 🙂

Nice set up, you right to be proud of yourself! :appl:

I’ve been doing this about the same time as you, so know how it feels! Although I jumped into it full time from day 1 (puppy-eyes)

Great stuff Tim, well done mate. your place looks great and has bags of potential… :thumbup2:

Careful on the infra-red method of wrapping. It is better to have a warm circulating air to create a room temperature than infra-red when it comes to vehicle graphics and wrapping. By that i do not mean the likes of a space heater, but a gradual warmth. Infra-red is fine in some certain instances, but i feel it’s overrated and hard pushed in the states as the way to go.

Well done Tim. Nothing beats being your own boss, and you are rightly proud to have a set up like that :thumbup2:

@ Robert, I know but this is longwave infrared, and not the shortwave infrared that glows red when heating – and so very difficult for keeping the right temperature. They just enough for metal temperature at 19-20 °C, can’t get it warmer! 🙁

How are you finding the HP 360? Thinking of changing from the Jv33 to that machine..

The HP is the best choice for me, instant dry, short term delivery, perfect colour when printing flat colours and excellent black/white images!

    Hi Tim,
a great place you have there!
    All the best with it.

Can I ask about the work benches with the heavy duty castors?
    Where can I buy them?
    They’re just what I need.

Hi Philip, all the benches are custom made, they measure 3,5 x 2 m each with glass plate in one pieces so no seams when applying application tape.

    Well done Tim

I’ve been there with a similar story to you, 4 years working from home and last 5 in a unit, 3 years ago I hired my first employee as I couldn’t cope and now there is 6 of us full time with possibly a 7th next year.

I’m sure you’ll notice a massive difference in clients and work you get from now on so best of luck.

    Congratulations mate.

    The unit looks awesome.

You mentioned you have some infrared heaters, what ones are they?

I was looking at getting a space heater but I think these could work out better
