    Hi all,
I just bought a used cx 24, seller said it was in perfect working order leaving his place but when I got it, it wouldnt power on, I pulled off the front cover to see if there were any loose connections and there were none but i discovered that when i disconnected the ribbon cables at the back of the control panel and lcd display it did power on, the bigger cable seems to be stopping it coming on as when its disconnected and the smaller cable is connected the carrige and grit rollers go a little crazy but when the bigger cable is attached I get nothing, seller is blaming shipping but I inspected package carefully before I signed for it and there was no signs of a fall or bang, what could the problem be?
any help or advise would be great, thanks

Doesn’t really matter what the problem is if you bought it as a fully working machine, if the seller claims it was damaged in transit then it is up to them to sort out an insurance claim. If this was an auction site buy then I would be letting them know that the goods as received were not as advertised. Sort this out fairly quickly because it could end up costing you a lot of money if it turns out it needs a new motherboard or something along those lines. If you have little knowledge of the machines yourself then an engineer won’t come cheaply either.
