This post is just to let everyone know that the new “show us your stuff” forum has been opened under the name, “UKSB Members Portfolio”
It has taken the moderators and myself some time to reload this forum.
Basically what we have done is to “one by one” go through every single post in the show us your stuff forum and find broken images. That’s all 1300+ posts. The ones with broken images posted, we had no option but to delete the thread. We also deleted irrelevant images and threads. Once we had all the threads containing uploaded images under one roof. We had the task then of going back through them all renaming the topics. So now instead of the topic reading,
“my m8’s pimped buggy, wid,yeh fink?”
It now reads something like,
“Vehicle graphics: Dan’s Auto Service”
And instead of opening the thread to find a broken red cross image link, you get a thumb nail image that can be clicked on to increase the images size if need be.
We think this will make browsing this popular forum much more enjoyable.
With this in mind, and the work that has went into doing this, we have created new forum rules for the “UKSB Members Portfolio”. We would advise everyone to read this before uploading any images to avoid their post being deleted or moved.We have began to change some forum names also,as you may have noticed. this is because we are seeing other sign sites copying everything we seem to do, which they can if they wish of course, but we like to be that little bit different. 😉 :lol1:
We have also created a forum called “(Members) File Store and Babble forum” this forum is open to bronze access members and above, only. This forum is to prevent the member’s portfolio being polluted with irrelevant posts & images. We found that the members portfolio was being used allot for folk that need the help of an image to explain what they mean about something in a thread contained in a forum without upload facilities. In turn they would upload their image in the member’s portfolio to explain. The trouble here is that a few days later, this uploaded image is now useless as the reader only sees it and not the discussion it was uploaded for in the first place.

File Store and Babble forum should also be used for jokes, funny images and the like… all posts, images etc posted within this forum maybe deleted at any time without notice.ide like personally thank the moderators who have been a great help getting things sorted around here lately.
Links Forum will reopen shortly too, this forum is also getting a facelift. 😉

Good idea having an area for images etc. It will certainly save the “show us your stuff” forum from getting clogged up with Shane’s dodgy joke pictures. 😀

andy we actually thought about creating (Shane Drew’s- bust a hip laughing forum) but thought it would cause conflict between shane and john singh. 😕 :lol1: :lol1: :lol1: -
Have you noticed, Saturday mornings seem to have become Shane’s joke upload sessions? I think we have finally found a replacement for TISWAS.
(If you are too young to remember TISWAS, think of something like Ant & Dec, only funny.) -
