Atlantic hotel, halo lit s/steel lettering

Silks neon, entrance to the new hotel bistro, must point out that the cable hanging down behind the neon is a temporay feed.

we always use neon for all but the smallest of lettering, cost of leds is horrendous in comparison to what it costs to make a tube

😎 Cool! Is it just me, or do neons done in that style look like something from Vegas? 😀

Btw Craig, I’ll PM about the mini neon thingy saying signs later. 😀

    Cheers, Dewi

i take it you bend neon yourself craig?

we actualy paid a small deposit on a complete neon setup. bombarding unit, ribbon burners etc. not cheap!
then for the life of me we couldnt get a good neon bender. all the good ones had been snapped up.. then we were getting told the hourly rate for a good neon bender.. 😕 thats why i was asking about LEDs
i am considering buying LEDS in from abroad as we dont have the kit for neon & its not cheap to buy in well made neon.

Depends where you buy in from has anyone seen the neon at star city? It’s a huge casino and we did ALL of the neon talk about las vegas style!

I’ll try and get some pictures or find some online for you all!

yes i do all our glasswork, but you are right it’s extremely difficult to pickup up glassbenders good or bad ones, you always find the best ones are just about ready to retire. The only way to get one is to coax them with lots of money.

Small window graphics with neon (supplied by Craig).

Sorry photo is not too good, that neon at night is so warm and inviting and adds to the sunny, holiday atmosphere the owener wanted.

    thanks Craig

It has some cgi of the front of star city the vegas experience! But that’s exactly as the neon look but its much more impressive…still going to try and grab some photos or the video when i go into work tomorow 🙂

Hey Skeet, now thats what I call a high profile job !! I drive past there fairly often and often nearly hit somthing because I’m busy looking at the signs/neon too much 😀
I don’t know if i missed an intro post from you or if you didn’t get round to doing one and just dived in !! I would be nice to have a bit more info on who Hilliard&Winn are, what they do etc and your role too if you have time 😉
