I was on E-bay tonight and there is a copy of an Ingram Publishing Vehicle Outlines 1000+ for sale in Germany. Daft question – is this the same set of CDs which are sold to UK companies? If not. is there any difference in the spec?

What were they asking for it? MR Clipart sell a great set for about $60 or €60 with just about all you need.

They do a package with a thick folder which I bought back in 93 for about $400, the cheaper version is just the CD and a pdf file with all the vehicles, or you can do a subscription with them for about €100 or $100 for the CD and a year of downloading or requesting images from their site at no extra cost, they are, have a pretty extensive range and will try and digitise stuff on request. you can check them out at http://www.mr-clipart.com

You also have Impact Sign Services, Brian Hayes in the UK, we have their CD too and feel that those 2 products pretty much cover all you need…no collection is perfect.

While we are on the subject of vehicle outlines, does anyone trust them without actually measuring the van or do you work on the vehicle outline, on screen and trust Ingrams digitising to be accurate.

There was a debate about this on the boards a while ago Tim, I think most people said that they waited untill they saw the van before cutting any vinyl.
I made the mistake of trusting the CD when I first started, first van we did the graphics were far to big, the panel size on the CD was miles out. I trust the CDs to an extent now. I have a book with panel sizes from vans we have done, when we get a job to do the first thing I do is check the book, if we have done that sort of van before then I can compare our sizes to the outline.
