    another one for an opinion
    the body is 10m long
the job has been done, but the customer thought I was on the dear side.
he is many years regular, and he has never questioned a price before, I always work out my price on quantity of vinyl,
What would you have charged, there is 21 m of vinyl 1220

    Many thanks

    Peter

I would be around £750 to £800 mark if fitted by myself if help needed which I think on this would be best plus £120

Peter, sorry wouldn’t have had a clue as to price but just out of interest is this the same sort of job you have always done for them or is this something different? Just wondering why they thought you were a bit expensive this time if that have always been happy in the past.

    Martin
I have done six or seven trucks and vans like this, the biggest was a 40′ trailler.
which I charged slightly more for, but that was 3 years ago, I have done a luton type and a panel van last year, and before them a smaller truck which worked out at around £500. the latest one is at least twice as big in regards the vinyl used.
but I think it is just a case of "why should this one be twice as much as the last one," without the customer actually looking at the actual size of the trucks.

Well I’ve just phoned him, explained that you’re a robbing b@stard, and agreed to do his next truck for only £900 :booty:

I just called him, and yes, he wants you do do the next one.
but only if you pay the for the driver and diesel to bring the truck to you,
this works out at £1480, so if you send him a cheque for £580 you got the job.
