Can you guy’s advise me on the following

Banners, is it best to buy ready made or go for the banner on a roll product, ie banana banner

Foamex, whats the best thing to cut it with to give a perfectly straight edge, I have a couple of off cuts I can use for some small signs

    Thanks again in advance

I do a few banners here and there and always get them made to order locally. I never know what sizes I’m going to need so a roll material would be no good to me.

As for cutting foamex, if you want to trim some offcuts and you don’t have a circular saw or similar, you can cut it with a stanley and a decent straight edge but WATCH THOSE FINGERS!

    Foamex

Get in touch with multimount in leeds they do a cutter which is basically a stanley blade on a track £300.

Or Keencut they do a product called Javelin.

As far as the banners go, we use both options, get made to order banners if the customer wants something specific, colour, size etc. but also use banana banner for those last minute “Oh we forgot about it” customers, when they need it today they are usually more than happy that you can supply them anything.

For cutting foamex we use our cnc router but a steel rule, sharp scalpel and a steady hand work just as well.
