    Have been asked to supply 20 pieces of clear plastic 18"x18" to cover operating instructions on some large exterior Generators approx 3mm thick
    he mentioned Perspex is their any other stratas that would do the job possibly a bit cheaper thanks

    Polycarbonate is generally more expensive than acrylic so that rules that out, not sure there is really much else, also make sure you get exterior grade.

    Pete – Perspex is an ICI brand name for their own acrylic material. Personally I’d say the best, but also probably the most expensive. There are alternative brands of acrylic sheet out there (not all are colour fast – not important in your case) at less cost. A low cost alternative is styrene, but nothing like so good quality as Perspex/acrylic, and will more than likely craze in a relatively short time. Fine for cheap short term work though.

    Speak to your own suppliers about alternative makes of acrylic, or Google for ‘acrylic sheet’ and you’ll find some suppliers to talk to.
