  • need advice on Onyx Software?

Posted by Bob Scullion on August 24, 2011 at 9:22 pm

Just recently bought a 2nd user Mutoh Valuejet 1304 with onyx 7.3.2

Anyone using Onyx who I can get a bit of advice from?

Also, can any moderators advise if and how I pm another member please.

    Thanks

    Bob

Bob, you need to be a UKSG member to send PM’s but I am sure if you asked someone to PM you they would as long as that’s not against board rules 😉

briefly used onyx when we purchased our UV flatbed.
from memory it felt a bit disjointed opening and closing windows for different features. but all in all was a good software. well, did the job we needed doing without any real headaches. which i think was good considering we were also very new to the actual printer at the same time.

thats about as far as advice goes im afraid as we no longer have the software. 😀

as for pm, only UKSG members can PM.

    Thanks for the replies

Getting a bit frustrated with it, new to this printing malarky, seem to get one thing working properly but something else causes problems.

Would like to get a hold of someone who is or has used the software who can keep me right.

Have I clicked the wrong box in choosing uksb gold Rob. Can I upgrade so to speak

Onyx is well placed within the industry as one of the best rips , it does require some experimenting with as it is not easy to pick up quickly.

I think each RIP out there does have their quirks, it is not easy to find one that is perfect in everyway…

    keep trying
