  • Need advice on moving JV3 130

    Morning all, after a bit of help or advice

    we are moving to a larger work shop, 20miles away,

    would would be the best way to transport our mimaki jv3 130

    do we need a clamp to stop the print head from moving and will the shaking of the machine in the van, while in transit will this damage the printer

    as much help and advise is much appreciated

    yep, keep the print head from moving… leave the carts in or near empty carts.
    empty waste bottle

    i suspect you will have some trouble when u get there.

    we found the clamp i think, is it yellow…

    where does it clamp to as i cant see it in the manual.

    when you say will have a trouble when we get there waht do you mean?

    what sort of trouble

    i dont have a clamp, so i dont know what it looks like.

    the head mustn’t move, needs to stay above its caps.

    do u have the lifting bars? not really needed but helps

    its not advisable to have it powered off for long at all… so ur likely to get a bit of trouble getting it going again, im not going to kid you, might be a fill up ink or might be a clean.

    Oh yeah, there is 3-4 metal plates in the capping station, these are either fixed or they come out, hopefully with the head in place you should be fine, but if you loose one of them then u need some new ones.

    Gaff tape the head carriage so it doesn’t move off the capping station during transport. Also a good idea to tape down anything else that might move. Set up and check in new premises as soon as possible.
