A client contacted us recently to have the name traditionally painted on his spanking new narrow boat.
Gary (my partner) arrived on time on the towpath, the guy turns up red faced dressed in suit and tye brief case etc, 3/4 hour later.
His car had broken down and he was late for a meeting, he had a quick chat and confirmed the price & left.
Gary shouted at him “Whats the boat name?” he replied JUST JIM.

You ve probably guessed! he came back to find just jim when he meant JIM!!!!!

After swearing he burst out laughing and has re registered the craft phew!

    😆 😆 😆 Brilliant

That reminds me of a printer I know who was whining to me about a customer who asked him to print leaflets for his Kilt Hire business called “Stepping Oot in Style”

He printed the name “Stepping Out In Style” on the leaflets as he thought it was just the guys accent – but the business really is called “Stepping Oot In Style”.

Don’t ask me why he never proofed it first, but he was moaning about the number of leaflets he had made that the customer refused to accept. I tried to sound and look genuinely sympathetic when he was telling me this- but I think my trembling shoulders, the bitten lip and the watery eyes gave me away 😕
