Just thought I would show you all how my new place is coming on now my legs better and I can actually start on the work I was meant to do in may.

Heres the outside, no sign as yet except pavement swing sign etc as I havent had time to design & fit it due to work.

Stitched together view of the shop part, that the customers will use.
where all the T shirt’s, workwear, & printing gets done.

A couple of gay looking plasterers I caught wearing my female tour collection T shirts when I came back from the somerfield milk run.

The store room after the gay plastering

view from back of store room

Started to fill the store already

main workshop from shop side, 4m taping & cutting bench on left, Vinyl storage underneath, tool storage under bench at the end.

4mx1.5m sign making wall for full sheets & large signs.
(Stud work in place still have the shelf to fit.)

Will post the rest once Ive finished.

    ha ha,
Thats my mate and his labourer, hes just as childish as me, so half expected it.
I also got back to my PC and found a google page where he had searched for Donkey porn.
Just as well no customers came in and saw what "I" had been searching for eh.
And as for grand job, they only came and did the 2 small walls in the store room, my other mate dry lined the place, that was also a grand job.
Im now lining the workshop with 1mm foamex and am going to put a vinyl print over the whole room.

I love seeing how others set out their workshops – thanks Steve it’s very interesting to see how yours is coming along.
By the way – I’m not taken in by the Gay Plasterers story – I reckon that’s a picture of you and you’re latest boyfriend 😕

Lol you can tell by the tattoos its not me in the gay T shirts.

As for web page link, there seemed to be a few, obviously its not as elite a club as I would have imagined.

Just been to get more MDF for the long sign shelf, and some more poly top pins to hold the 1mm foamex on.

Should be all ready to paint it and get finished in about 2 weeks time, in the meantime I have signs to make & shirts to print so its as and when but its taking shape.
Thanks for all the comments, (well all but the donkey porn and Gay plasterer ones)

    Nice one Steve

I’ve just taken on a shop but it’s a little on the small side but good for passing trade

Just need to work on the internal/external signage

I get a lot of passing trade in summer, as we are on the quay by the fishmarket.
Im still doing T shirts just for tourists at the minute every so often.
But next year when the building work and the diversion outside the shop has gone I think I will be extremely busy on the T shirt side of things.
The new building has killed trade this summer and we still did ok, paid the rent etc so next summer will be great, also I think the harbour commissioners can give me all the new sign work by way of compensation for lost trade eh?

    How small is small John?

I’m looking at one at the moment only 218 sq ft retail area + 156 sq ft upstairs 🙁 but it is in a fantastic high street location 😀

I do them myself, usually use the xpres pre cut numbers unless it’s a kids strip, nearly every second customer recently has asked if I can supply the official league numbers 🙁 ….I know JJB Sports offer them & also the local indoor market guy 🙄 So was wondering if the licensed ones can be purchased

It’s about 12x15ft shop front and that’s about it 🙁 a little space in the back but nothing much due to a kitchen counter and toilet being in there

Can’t remember the name of the company that does the football numbers….. metro something i think it was 😕
