Hi all i would love to buy a 54-60′ printer which has quick curing inks. this would be the hp latex so i can laminate straight after print. I would also like it to cut so can use as a plotter as well. But dont think any machines exist. can any one advise??

nope it doesn’t, but nothing wrong with separate cutter at all, more productive.

yes true but the reason is this. I have a Summa s class, a Roland Versacamm sp300v and enough space for one more machine. So heres my outlook:

    what i have :

    verscamm

    operating as

    Printer
    cutter

    summa sclass

    cutter

    unknown printer

    operating as

    Printer
    cutter (hopefully)

If i could use 3 cutters at a time or 2 printers and a cutter or 1 printer and 2 cutters at a time i think thats pretty productive. work can be done faster and easier. Having less space why not have another cutter in the very place as a printer. I know alot of people dont like print and cut as you laminate between but its not to use as a dual its to use as a standalone feature. economizing on the space.

If the Sclass isn’t wide enough for a latex print then sell it & buy a package with a latex printer & separate plotter. That way you will still have 2 printers & a plotter. You never know you might be able to use it as a trade in.

my view using a printer/cutter for run of the mill cutting is not good in the long term
lets face it do you look after your standard cutting vinyls the same as your print ones.
    dirt dust grit etc.

Not sure how fast other printer/cutters are but I’d be pulling my hair out waiting for my Versacamm to finish cutting, the Summa is miles faster.
