    Hi
all did this on my own on Tuesday & removed it today, Oracal 3162 removable. Was to cover up hire company logos as the start of the demolition was being filmed by the BBC & ITV news. Going back in 3 weeks time to cover it again. Top of the machine is 40 meters the 1st boom & second boom was done from ladders, the telescopic section which as the telephone number graphic on was done from a cherry picker at approximately 20-25 metres in the rain & wind. Glad to say weather was better when i removed the stuff today.

Ah, sorry Kev. I though you took the photo from a cherry picker!
I was looking for some other signage!
Bit of a job for one man, well done

Didn’t explain myself has normal, was a total of 28 linear meters. Hardest part was doing the Tel vertically out of the cherry picker a bit windy at the time, unfortunately no one with me to take pictures whilst it was being done.

Am I missing something here? Why could they not just lower the boom to ground level. 🙄 Simples!

Mike I may be wrong, but if they did, the machine would fall over.
It looks like it was assembled on site (no way could it have been transported in one piece.) it’s a concrete nibbler so does not lift or carry any weight other than itself.

BIG machine mate, well done… on your todd too! good for you Kev…

wont mention the name of the company, even though it was on national news at the time. but we did one of these for a company we do allot of other work for. was out on site for first time and the building they were working on collapsed premature killing the driver of the machine and another on the ground. needless to say we did another after this but what a thing to happen within your company to your own members of staff. doesn’t bare thinking about. 😕

    Hi Mike
the 1st boom & last where done from a ladder, although the last one has to be done upside. The center section is telescopic & when it is extended whilst horizontal it would indeed topple. It actually lifted its tracks whilst the arms where being lowered without it being extended

    Peter
the machine comes assembled and arrives on a low loader although it can have different booms fitted within a very short time.

Will try to get some pictures when i do it again in about 3 weeks time
