My daughter is now 21
Of course there was the customary trek to the bar.
I only stayed about 45 minutes.
I can only stand so much cigarette smoke and loud rednecks in the background.
Plus the roads were really icy.
Her girlfriend was her designated driver. The girlfriend is getting married Saturday and Rachael is the maid of honor. Tomorrow night they are having the hen party downtown at some club with an 80s room.
(we call it a bachelorette party)
She is up in bed with a heavy head, having taken the rest of this week off to help with the wedding.
Just wanted to share.

She favors her paternal grandma (now 85)
She is up and about and feeling OK.
Right now she is at the driver’s license center renewing her license.
She turned out OK despite having me for a mom.

Rachael wants to know if Paul’s son is single. Looks like they are born on the same exact date/year!
She was tickled with the nice words (so was I)
Here she is just a little while ago with a Dairy Queen cake (the dog looking on eagerly)
We didn’t have any birthday candles in the house so I had to recycle one from Justis’ 4th birthday! (he is now 13)
hahahaha
We did not have time to do that cake last night.
Tonight she is at the fire hall helping to decorate for the wedding. I donated directional signs and a banner, and she delivered those for me.

You are both gorgeous woman. If she only turns out to be 70% of her mum she’ll still be doing OK. Its nice to see families that are obviously close.

Rachael was born at 10:50 am, after a ride to the hospital in 5" of fresh snow, through rush-hour traffic, with me clenching my legs together in the back seat and saying Hail Marys. Very fast labor and she has been a pistol ever since! -

Our youngest turns 30 today not sure how that works as my head still thinks I’m 21. My body thinks I’m 90. Dropped something the other day and left it till something else dropped. Had to make the trip down worthwhile.
