mutoh vj-1604 ink problem
HI i’m new to this forum and was wondering if sum1 could help me.
i am currently using 440ml ink cartridges in my mutoh and when the machine is telling me they are empty i am changing the cartridges but when i open the cartridge up it is still half full is there anyway of changing this. -

Hi Anton.
Try looking up where the cartridge goes and compare the faulty assembly with one that’s working and you’ll probably find that one of the triggers has bend backwards and isn’t able to read the tab on the cartridge that presses out as the tab comes out. It’s not an expensive part to replace but it can be quite tricky to get to. I’ve not done one on a 1604 but I have on Mimaki’s and Roland’s.

thanks for the advice the printer was not sitting square so hopefully that will be it sorted thanks.
